It offers the students opportunities of receiving the first or the second higher education in the full-time or in the evening form of studies with the majors:

• Linguistics
• Social Pedagogy

The duration of training in the department of Linguistics is 4 (Bachelor) and 2 years (Master). The major for the Master program is “Theory of communications and international public relations”. The departments of Social pedagogy offers a 5-years Diploma Specialist course. The Institute has courses of foreign languages as extra-curriculum classes. All students study on a contract basis.

English is the basic foreign language of the Institute. Any other language can be chosen as the second one. But as a rule, the students prefer to study German, French, Spanish or Italian.

The academic staff of the Institute consists of leading experts – members of academies, professors, associated professors in the field of linguistics, psychology, pedagogy and methodology, humanities and social sciences, natural sciences. The syllabus and courses of lectures are own creative products of the Institute in conformity with state educational standards.

The students of the Institute may obtain the international Diploma and Certificates together with the russian degrees on graduating. Apart from the State Diploma the students of the Institute may receive the Diploma of interpreter of the University and a Certificate of practical studies.

The Institute maintains co-operation links with Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of International Relations, Russian Humanitarian University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Union of Friendship Societies etc.

The scientific and research work of the Institute is carried out in the fields of problems of inter-cultures communication, linguistics of the text, speech ethics, social psychology, and new information technologies. Multi-media teaching programs are being worked out, audio and video and other telecommunication means are applied at a large scale. The Institute takes part in some projects of the federal and international importance. It is known within the University by implementing its pedagogic-esthetic program. The academic and pedagogic processes are naturally correlated in the framework of the concept “Higher Education Institution – Family” that functions at the Institute.

There are vocal and choreographic studios, the teams for shaping and aerobics in the Institute.

“The School of a young teacher” and “The Club of the art of Speech” have widely opened the doors. The Institute has its own traditional holidays and celebrations such as ceremony of dedication into students, the Institute’s birthday, Christmas parties, Miss-Institute contest, Graduation party.

The graduates of the Institute work in the best Institutions of Moscow and Europe, in big international and prestigious russian companies, in the governing bodies and in private business sector.
