The Faculty includes 21 Academic Chair (departments) that carry out training of Bachelors, Masters, Diploma Specialists and postgraduates in the following majors (directions and specializations):
- Mechanical engineering
- Automation and control of technical systems
- Power engineering
- Automobile service
- Civil Engineering
- Geology and exploration of deposits of minerals
- Mining Engineering
- Architecture
- Economics and management in the industries
The duration of the courses: – 4 years (Bachelor), –2 years (Master) – 5 years (State Diploma Specialist)
The academic staff consists of (30 D.Sc and 103 P.HD holders) -34 professors, 83 associated professors, 10 lecturers. Some of them are members of russian and international academies. The number of students (academic year 2004–2005) is 2230 students including 320 international students
